Description

The Heinkel He 111H was shot down while attacking Portsmouth Dockyard. It made a forced landing on the beach near Park Copse at 6-15pm. Three Germans were captured and two died and are buried at St Andrew’s Tangmere. A member of the Home Guard, two firemen, a police officer, a man and boy look on.
