Description

Set 11. William Simpson’s hairdresser’s shop. He held the ‘Sunny Snaps’ franchise in 1938. His shop was to the left of Arthur Voke’s shop, on the west side of the High Street. Both shops were opposite the red-brick house next to the Pavilion. They were demolished and replaced by St Wilfrid’s Walk (see SPP/1/10/102) and in 2006 by another parade of shops (see SPP/1/10/296)
