Description

Set 11. Family grocers, bakers, confectioners and butchers and wines and spirits. “Typhoo Tea” adverts. William Ellis’s father started his business in the shop next to the Town Hall, and then moved to this site in about 1905. He went into business with William Petts and the name changed to Ellis and Petts. It became Ellis and Sons in the mid 1920s.
